We’ve been managing high volume roadside repairs, recoveries, storage and total losses involving cars, vans and commercial vehicles for over thirty years, round the clock, across the UK, and we understand the things that matter to fleet managers.
We manage roadside recoveries on behalf of large fleets, local councils, utilities providers, insurance underwriters, 11 Police Forces and National Highways, managing over 310k recoveries in 2024. Every fleet, every incident and every recovery is unique, and so is our response.
Fleets don’t operate on a 9-5 working day model, so neither do we.
We provide a 24/7 response when cars, vans and commercial vehicles require recovery assistance.

Last year we launched FMG Vehicle Recovery Assistance, our unique end-to-end solution for seamless out of hours accident recovery and vehicle storage, created in collaboration with our insurer customers. The only fully comprehensive solution of its kind, FMG Vehicle Recovery Assistance provides insurers with cost control, visibility and continuity of service around the clock.
We are the out of hours support
When policyholders report an incident out of hours, the call is seamlessly and automatically diverted from the insurer to our specialist 24/7 VRA customer support team. They know exactly what’s needed to recover the vehicle quickly in line with each customer’s specific instructions.
Updates at every step
Our dedicated VRA portal provides full transparency for the insurer, with updates and images every step of the way – time-stamped photos upon arrival at the accident scene, throughout the recovery process, once the vehicle is loaded on to the recovery truck and more images when it arrives at it’s destination, whether that is a storage facility or the chosen repairer.
Minimising storage
We also manage the storage and straight to salvage processes, with inhouse image engineers triaging vehicle for repair or total loss, with a key focus on reducing storage and the associated costs. FMG manage the process and update the portal at every stage until the final piece of the process is complete.
