An Investor in People organisation, FMG has always invested heavily in supporting employees in attaining further education qualifications and technical training. The business recently opted to rapidly boost its numbers of Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) graduates by investing in a 12-day intensive course, delivered on-site at FMG’s headquarters building, FMG House.

The Cert CII qualification, which takes approx. 12 months to complete via the traditional self-study route, was provided by Harrogate-based Professional Insurance Training Ltd. The insurance training specialist packages CII qualification courses into intensive study programmes delivered by experienced tutors with real working knowledge of the insurance sector.

Alister Myatt, Director at Professional Insurance Training Ltd said, “Today’s insurance professionals often struggle to find time for distance learning or evening classes whilst meeting the demands of a busy career in insurance. Our accelerated learning is focused, structured and has proven highly effective; we have had no delegates drop out of any courses to date and we enjoy a near 100% pass rate.”

Robin Lang, Head of Insurance Services at FMG said, “Whilst claims management is a complex and demanding environment, FMG continues to excel, which is largely due to the experience, technical ability and insurance industry knowledge within our team. Our ongoing investment in staff training plays a major role in staff engagement, and this intensive training course has proven to be a highly successful and appealing way to study.”

FMG works with major fleet insurers, private and public sector fleets, and leading leasing companies to streamline the claims management process. Through the use of quality assured systems, FMG manages the lifecycle of incidents and claims to help reduce their frequency and impact. When incidents do occur, FMG’s nationwide managed network of supply partners provide quality repairs to BS10125 standard, the technical quality standard for the process of vehicle body repair.
